Their kind acceptance weepingly beseeched,All vows and consecrations giving place,
It was an exquisite morning, full of tints and sounds at once ripe and delicate. The harbor was sparkling and dimpling like a girl; white gulls were soaring over the dunes; beyond the bar was a shining, wonderful sea. The long fields by the shore were dewy and fresh in that first fine, purely-tinted light. The wind came dancing and whistling up the channel to replace the beautiful silence with a music more beautiful still. Had it not been for the baleful star on the white tower that early walk would have been a delight to Anne and Gilbert. But they went softly with fear."But we will be gone," said Anne through her tears.
The “Indie Gaming Village” at Apps World North America earlier this week was indeed a village compared to the rest of the bustling convention.

To even find it, you had to wade through a dense expo floor packed with booths advertising app analytics services and monetization solutions.

Sure enough, though, there it was: a small corner on the second floor of San Francisco’s Moscone West convention center, housing a modest selection of phone and tablet games either recently released or up and coming.

Here were a few of my favorites:

Sleep Furiously

Sky: Children of the Light's Switch port has been delayed into 2021. The announcement arrived earlier today on the game's official Twitter account.

Such news doesn't come as a major surprise seeing as the port never had a solid release date, and given the sheer number of other high-profile delays we've seen this year, I would hope that we've come to accept their necessity.
As a small indie studio, it's been challenging to pull off so many releases back to back. Due to the remote slowdown during COVID & our utmost priority to protect our team’s health, we're pushing Sky on Nintendo Switch back by a few months into 2021.?? https://t.co/f0ZeVP2fJ7 pic.twitter.com/MQ5LUdVnrF— Sky: Children of the Light (@thatskygame) August 26, 2020We've covered Sky a fair bit since its iOS launch late last year. Dann reviewed it at the time, calling it "a beautiful experience which delivers much more than a standard 3D platformer through a fully realised multiplayer system."

Since then, it's received regular content updates that have fleshed out the core experience significantly. Recently, the game surpassed 35 million downloads, released a digital version of its OST, and announced that its players had raised over $1 million for Doctors Without Borders' COVID-19 response.
The Bald Man and the Fly

Easter is in the air, and that can only mean one thing - Easter Eggs. And you can bet there’s going to be plenty of them in the new Rayman Adventures update.

Those pesky Rabbids have invaded all the levels across the game, and you’ll need to collect the hidden Easter Eggs they’ve scattered around to trade in for special Easter goodies.

But what are those goodies we hear you cry? Well there’s a new costume for Teensy called Rabiteen - I wonder what that turns him into? And there are a bunch of new chocolate Incrediballs to collect as well.

And if that wasn’t enough, the update has a couple of new features that make the game even more accessible for players.

The first is Gamepad Support, meaning you can use your favourite controller to speed through the rich and rewarding levels.

If you’re not in the know, Rayman Adventures is a brilliant free to play platformer that sees you racing through a series of gorgeous levels.

There are four kinds of challenges - Combat, Lum, Exploration, and Time Trial - and you’ll need a decent set of Incrediball friends to complete them all.

The update is live right now on the Google Play Store and the App Store, and if you fancy some chocolatey fun with a spring in its step, you should grab it right now.

While on the run, you have a powerful support system to enhance your running experience and improve your capability to succeed in the mission. In this adventurous path, you will encounter magical stuff that improves racing and running abilities like bolts, magnets, and many stamina booster doses. Don’t get panic to enjoy surfing and soaring through the skies at supersonic speedrunning.

Over the weekend, Chucklefish CEO/Designer Finn Brice - AKA Tiyuri - received a little bit of backlash after providing a 'non-update' update (as some called it) on his Twitter. In response, Brice took to Reddit to give us a bare-bones summary of what this situation is like on their end.
We're not expecting it to be much longer before we can give you some solid SDV news. Still waiting ourselves, but things are looking good— Tiy (@Tiyuri) September 15, 2017 After the original Tweet was met with a mixture of positive and more negative responses, Brice then took to Reddit to push the info-train a little further.

"Realistically we're trying to get it to everyone as soon as we can, there are a few things involved in that process. First the game has to pass through lot check, a process that is out of our hands and essentially takes as long as it takes. Second, we have to ensure we get a release slot agreement from all parties involved."

"So far lot check is looking really good, nothing has come up that needs fixing. Does that mean it absolutely won't? No, because otherwise we'd be picking a release window already. But it's a very good sign and that's all I was trying to convey to people, as part of my promise to keep everyone up to date."

Check out the full post here, and we'll keep you updated as per usual.
